Japanese dictionary and answer data for Wordward, version 1 This package uses the Japanese/English components of JMdict, copyright James William BREEN and The Electronic Dictionary Research and Development Group (EDRDG). Dictionary data and our derived vocabulary data are distributed under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0). Archive SHA-256: 2106e8754205f8e4e0c6fdf90a48fbd25c88f9dbbc667631dd83a58e56f11deb Modifications: retained English senses and supported 3-7 kana-character readings; narrowly normalized hiragana/katakana, halfwidth kana and canonical voicing; excluded search-only, irregular and obsolete reading forms except the finite attested guess-only exceptions in source-exceptions.json; honored reading/sense restrictions; deduplicated reading identities; curated a smaller answer deck with deliberate source-compatible spelling and sense choices; built a complete accepted-spelling-to-readings mapping for simulation tooling. The data and its derivatives retain CC BY-SA 4.0. This statement does not change the licence of the game's independently written program code. No endorsement by EDRDG is implied. Data is provided without a warranty of accuracy or suitability; native-speaker review of our selection remains pending. The public integration must retain visible source acknowledgement and accessible documentation/licence links as described in EDRDG-LICENCE.html. A notice only in this source package is insufficient for the game's word displays. Suggested compact acknowledgement: "Japanese word data: JMdict / EDRDG, CC BY-SA 4.0." EDRDG also specifies a regular update procedure. See japanese-source/PROVENANCE.md for the reviewed update and versioning process; a saved run must not be silently reinterpreted when newer data is released.
